Toilet and Dream
Toilet and Dream is a staged photography-and-installation project made between 2021 and 2022. Centred on the toilet as an everyday object, the work constructs a two-level domestic space to examine how the housing market redistributes dignity, privacy and basic living conditions along class lines. The toilet functions as a symbol of modernity, power and belonging, while the built structure turns social pressure into a visible spatial hierarchy. Through constructed photography, the project translates the social structures behind high housing costs into images that can be looked at, inhabited and questioned.
